[CLOSED] PCOP v6 thread
I'm using PCOP v5.5 and I know that PCOP v6.0 has been released. When will Panda upgrade the new version for me?
I really like Device Control feature
God put your eyes in front of your head for a reason to stop looking back...

Re: Upgrade to PCOP 6.0?
We should start migrating clients either this week or next week
Re: Upgrade to PCOP 6.0?
I just noticed my console was at v8 when I logged in
. I also downloaded the new distribution tool and new msi file which I'm assuming is pcop v6. I'm wondering if the client will auto upgrade or if I'll have to re-deploy? I right click on my icon and choose update but nothing yet.

No it should auto upgrade.
May I have a peak in your console? If its ok , please give me your client number.

Re: Upgrade to PCOP 6.0?
Looks like it's working. This morning when I came in, there was a message on my screen asking me to reboot. After rebooting I was on v6
In my console, I have unchecked "Enable automatic updates of the protection engine" for most policies except mine. I want to control when clients are updated. Unchecking that prevents clients from upgrading to v6, correct?
Is there a way to force a client upgrade? When I enable the auto updates option, the frequency is 8 hours so it'll take awhile for the update to go. I tried installing with the new distribution tool and with the new msi but received a message that the client was already installed.
If you still want to check my console, I can PM you the client #.

Re: Upgrade to PCOP 6.0?
To force an update it will have to be enabled in the console - as in the check box.
However on the endpoint you can run this command against waplpmng.exe in %program files%\waagent\waslpmng
walupg -force
I would suggest that you deselect the option to automatically reboot.
Do you have the firewall enabled across profiles?

Re: PCOP v6 thread
With the "Enable automatic updates of the protection engine" box checked, a considerable amount of time goes by before the client actually gets the upgrade. On my PC it took hours and didn't prompt me to install until the next day. This would be fine except that it's not a silent install. It asks the client to reboot, then does the install, then reboots I believe.
Is there a way to make v6 install silently and then when complete ask the client to reboot? It should just say Panda encountered a condition which requires a reboot and the client can click reboot now or later... I think that would be a better process.
I will try the command and see what happens. I hope it just installs silently without asking the client.
I have not used the Firewall feature yet so it's disabled on my policies.

Re: PCOP v6 thread
Hi,
To be honest, I don't know if this can be done silently.
What you can do is create a script or GPO as its an .msi and run it with the /q parameter for silent mode
.
Give me an hour and ill post some more.

Re: PCOP v6 thread
I don't think msi will work. I've tried to run it manually and it just tells me the software is already installed even though 5.5 is installed and the msi is v6...
I can't uninstall with my distribution tool. The uninstall icon is grayed out. Any idea why?

Re: PCOP v6 thread
You can uninstall the Endpoint agent via control panel and then run the v6 one.
How many computers do you have?
EDIT: you can also force a remote uninstallation from the web console.
