How to report malware or false positive issues

Postby VirusBuster » Fri, 29 Jun 2012, 09:38

If you are having issues with viruses or malware, this is the place to post about them. A forum Moderator will help you clean your machine. But we do require that you post some basic information about the problem.

* Description of the problem you are having.
* Antivirus report
* What other security software do you have installed (firewall, hips, anti-spyware...)
* If you do have other antivirus or HIPS, post the logs from that product as well.
* What steps have you tried before posting here?
* How long have you had this issue?

Panda is not detecting a virus/malware
Please send a password compressed copy of the file to virus@pandasecurity.com.

Panda is not detecting a malicious website or URL
In this case simply send an email to urls@pandasecurity.com and include the URL in the body of the message. It will be added automatically (after analysis) to the URL filter.

Panda is wrongly detecting a non-malicious file or URL
Please send the file or URL to falsepositives@pandasecurity.com. If you cannot send the file for whatever reason, write a description of where you got the file from, the name of the program and a description of the problem in the email addressed to falsepositives@pandasecurity.com.

Submitting large quantities of malware to Panda
Send an email to virussamples@pandasecurity.com to submit virus collections or multiple samples that you want Collective Intelligence to process automatically. Do not expect a response if you send multiple samples to this mailbox.
