[False positive] Bitbloq

Post by tomas.calvo »

Hi, my name is Tom Calvo and i'm from the Bitbloq development team, some users reports that our programs are detected as a virus and we think its a false positive. We report this false positive to another antivirus labs and add this program to their whitelists .
The code from both programs are opensource (https://github.com/bq/web2board and https://github.com/bq/bitbloq-offline) so you can check the code, and if you see any threat please report to us, and we will repair it.

Bitbloq its a free website (http://bitbloq.bq.com) to program arduino boards and robots used by schools and high schools, we use a program called web2board to compile and load to the boards.
We have an offline version too (http://bitbloq.bq.com/#/offline).

The urls to download both programs for windows in the last version:
1.- https://github.com/bq/web2board/release ... taller.exe
2.- https://github.com/bq/bitbloq-offline/r ... indows.zip
These are the same urls from the website.

Some users report that both programs give a virus positive.

I check both programs with the virustotal website Report:

1.- web2board: https://www.virustotal.com/es/file/fcb7 ... 493887914/
2.- Bitbloq offline: https://www.virustotal.com/es/file/fa19 ... 493887987/

The first file give ok, but the second one report a "Trj/CI.A" on the file.

¿This is the correct site to report the false positives?

Thanks

Kind regards.
Tom.

Any recommended steps for a false positive? in the link just talk about virus not detected, not this case, this case is a false positive.

I tried with falsepositives@pandasecurity.com , is the correct email?

thanks.
