[CLOSED] DNS problem

Postby thekid1418 » Wed, 20 Feb 2013, 16:56

After installing "Panda Antivirus Pro 2013" on windows 8 my internet isn't working anymore
Other laptop is still working, so router is ok
neither cabled or wireless

Get IP address via DHCP ( and all other setings: Gateway, DNS)
Open Internet explorer : Windows indicate problem with DNS
cmd prompt : nslookup is working normal
Use of IP address in Internet explorer works
Panda firewall is off
Internet is working in safe mode
Done some cmd line tools (netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt;ipconfig /release;ipconfig /renew;ipconfig /flushdns
netsh;winsock reset catalog) no result

I really appreciate any help you can provide

When you say that Panda Firewall is OFF, do you mean that its installed but you disabled it in the settings or that it is not installed?

I installed not myself but the Firewall tile is indicate OFF and when I click the tile the firewall wizard is started.
I have not yet finished the wizard.
Maybe I can try to finished the wizard but when It's OFF normally it's cause no problems.
Also disabled one's Windows firewall, nothing changed

How are you connected to the Internet?
Ethernet? WiFi? 3G?

In order to narrow down the problem and identify which protection is causing the problem, please follow the steps below:
  1. Reboot in safe mode. If you don’t know how, use the Microsoft guide.
  2. Rename the following files located in the antivirus installation folder. IMPORTANT: start with one file at a time and check if the problem is solved. If so, let us know which of the following files you renamed last:

    • PavHttp.dll
    • PavTpLsp.dll
    • PavTrc.dll
    • PavTrc64.dll
    • WebProxy.exe
  3. Reboot normally.

At this point, there are two possible options:
  1. The problem persists
In this case, please reboot in safe mode and rename the following files located in the antivirus installation folder. IMPORTANT: start with one file at a time and check if the problem is solved. If so, let us know which of the following files you renamed last.
Rename TPSrv and SysTools executable files:

If you have a 32 bits Operating System:

Rename the file TPSrv.exe located in the antivirus installation folder to TPSrv.ex_
Rename the file SysTools.dll located in C:\Windows\System32\ to SysTools.dl_
    Reboot normally
If you have a 64 bits Operating System:
Rename the file TPSrvWow.exe located in the antivirus installation folder to TPSrvWow.ex_
Rename the file SysHelper32.dll located in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ to SysHelper32.dl_
Rename the file SysHelper64.dll located in C:\Windows\System32\ to SysHelper64.dl_
    Reboot normally.
  2. The problem no longer occurs
In this case, please follow the steps below:
Reboot in safe mode and restore all the renamed files to their original names.
Reboot normally. If the problem is not present when restoring all the renamed file names, install the remaining protections one by one and restart after each one until the problem appears again.
Please let us know which protection causes the problem. Thank you in advance!
