Protection against unknown threats

Postby Mantari » Tue Oct 13, 2009 7:21 am

Hi
I'm usung Win 7 RTM 64bit + PandaGP 2010beta

When starting the computer Panda blocked C:\windows\system32\LSASS.EXE as a suspicious program

I have completed a full scan and all is OK. I have individually scanned file and it's OK

I have taken a look at LSASS.EXE and its properties say that it is

Local Security Authority Process
version 6.1.7600.16785
30.5kb

Should this have been blocked by Panda?

Hi Mantari:

Some malware infects that system file and because this, Panda Global Protection 2010 detects it.

If it is detected as suspicious, after be checked in our lab (if you have the automatic sending of files to Panda), it will be clasified as goodware or malware and desinfected or unblocked automatically
