The bsod analyst on sevenforums stated it was panda causing the issue, and I want to see what you all have to say.

I notice that in other VM's it works fine, but in some I get a bsod. Looks like only zorin.
There is no rush needed on this, I understand you all are busy. Just a question. I am using the latest version, and have tried the uninstaller and uninstaller tool and a reinstall.
Could this be investigated? Thank you and I appreciate all assistance. If anything maybe something can be detected wrong with this version or previous versions that can be corrected.

For support to trouble shoot this they will want more information.
What BSOD stop message do you get?
You will need to run these tools and provide the results :
http://support.pandasecurity.com/forum/ ... ?f=25&t=14
http://support.pandasecurity.com/forum/ ... =25&t=2222
Many of the BSOD's appear to be caused by the URL filter within the Process Monitor. Turning that off seems to cure the problems.

Re: Panda free antivirus BSOD with vmware player
The bsod information was collected in the log file which the link was provided to the forum where it is attached. I am not sure what the stop error said, it restarted too quickly. The link provided above takes you to the post where I have uploaded the dump file and other related logs.
I have done a system image before this happened, so the logs will not be able to collect anything. I was simply reporting it hoping the files on my link were useful.
If not, that is ok. Thank you for the tip though about the url monitor. I do have that turned on.
If I have any more problems with a bsod (it was only in vmware player with zorin os), I will try turning that off and seeing if anything improves.
So far I have deleted the zorin vm and have created a fresh new one with a newer version and so far all seems well.
Thank you for your time.

Re: Panda free antivirus BSOD with vmware player
UPDATE:
I was able to reproduce the issue thanks to the panda support forum.
The url monitor which watches what processes access the internet and when is the cause of the bsod. When this is turned on and vmware player OS of choice is downloading a lot of data at once, it causes the bsod. When this is turned off and the upgrade/download process begins, there is no bsod.
(Downloading new linux versions of a distro over the internet is where it seems to stumble.)

Anyway, we are studying some other BSOD issues related to the URL monitor and may have a solution soon

The hotfix to correct this issues is finally certified
Download hfrt151409s1r1.exe to your desktop for example
Run the downloaded hfrt151409s1r1.exe and reboot when requested
If you had disabled the "Monitor the URLs accessed by each process" option from the Process Monitor protection settings, enable it again
