30% load CPU and endless logining
30% load CPU and endless logining
I have 30%+ loading CPU (i5 4690K @ 4.5 GHz) by Application Host Service Panda Protection Service. Antivirus asked me for login, but it isn't working.

I already did it.

Same problem here.
Intel i5 4570, 8 GM RAM, Windows 8.1 x64, Panda version 18.01.00.
Any ideas? I can't keep using antivirus that hogs 30% CPU all the time...

Please restart the computer, and check if the problema is still there.
If you find the porblem is still there, please uninstall the current verson you are trying to install, and then download and install the latest version available, from here:

Re: 30% load CPU and endless logining
Yes, I have rebooted my PC multiple times.
Also yes, the upgrade is much an improvement. Thank you!
Currently, the CPU load is 15-20% right after the boot, it soon drops to ~5% and finally, after about 5 minutes, to either 0% or very close to 0%.
Two questions, if I may:
1. Do you have any release notes available? What was the performance problem caused by?
2. I'm pretty sure I checked for updates while running version 18.01.00. Why was 18.03.00 not available? Is it a beta release, or...?

Re: 30% load CPU and endless logining
NO release notes available yet.. they will be posted on our website as soon as available from our development team.
Why was there a resource consumption?
well without data to analyse the case, is very difficult to say. it could be a hundred causes: drivers? corrupted files? corrupted installation? wrong installation parameters recorded?
regards,
david

Come on, that's not very imaginative... Are you saying any of these parameters can make your program misbehave like that, you've seen it reported by multiple customers and you've never fully investigated this issue? Since you've clearly fixed it in the new version, I assume you at least know how you fixed it.Mary77 wrote:without data to analyse the case, is very difficult to say. it could be a hundred causes: drivers? corrupted files? corrupted installation? wrong installation parameters recorded?
