Try the following:

If all of you folks are wondws XP sp3, try updating the machine to the latest updates from microsoft.
Makje sire they are all installed, and none of the has gone inerror status or error installing.-

After that, uninstall the av.

Then download the following file:

http://www.pandasecurity.com/resources/ ... otsupd.rar

Uncompress the file. Password is panda

Once you have the rootsupd.exe file extracted, run it.

Now restart the machine and then isntall the AV again.
If it does not run or gives the same error, contact back.

Just adding myself to the list. I'm also using XP3, (fully updated other than Java which won't update past 8.151). I've been seeing these 2 error messages occasionally for some time but they've increased exponentially this week. I've tried a fresh Panda reinstall and i've tried removing programs that might have clashed - CryptoPrevent, outdated Java, different old versions of Firefox, etc.

later edit: For what it's worth the Panda re-install had an issue when I tried to put in the username and password. It required a reboot before they were accepted.

This is most annoying.

To Darth Panda -

You replied to my post here, http://support.pandasecurity.com/forum/ ... 3fc#p29083

I followed your first suggestion to install the latest version 18.04.00.
That did not fix the 2 errors that occur every 10 minutes.

You then said to download the PCOPinfo.exe, and enter the problems.
To complete the PCOPinfo file, what should I enter for a CUSTOMER NUMBER?
Under PRODUCT, what do I click on? Default, System Management? Panda Aether? Endpoint Protection/Plus? Adapative Defense? Pro/Internet/Global?

As I mentioned in my previous post, I am running Windows Vista.

This problem has occurred 2 to 3 times of the past few years, which Panda has fixed within a few days.
It would seem that Panda is familiar with this error, and should release a patch/fix.
Running the PCOPinfo seems like a diversion.

Cons protecting with a free antivirus? the technical support, is, normally non existent or left to the forum community.

NOrmally problem arise when you have to install an AV on a non compatible computer (drivers, libraries, hardware, software...)

What fixed the PSUAService error on XP SP3 was to go into C:/program files/Panda Security/Panda Security Protection, Find MSVCR100.dll and copy it. Then go to C:/Windows/System32, find the file MSVCR100.dll and change the extension to .old. Paste the MSVCR100.dll file from Panda Security Protection folder into System32 folder and reboot. Hope it works for you.
