Full Scan error: boot_c

Full Scan error: boot_c

I'm a new user of the antivirus. I used to be protected by Kaspersky, but it was messing with my system than I decided to try Panda. However I'm having an issue.

By googling boot_c, I found some old posts in this forum, but none solved.

When I tried the full scan, in 8%, while scaning "boot_c" it stops. By now, the scan is running for 18 hours, so is not about waiting.

Is there something I should do? Is this a virus?

try checking your disk

open an msdos window as an administrator

now run

chkdsk c: /f /v

wait until it finishes and then try the scan again
