[SOLVED] Free antivirus no longer working
I'm not quite sure how long this has been going on for, because the Panda icon is hidden in my system tray, but I suspect it has been happening since the recent Panda update, or perhaps since the recent Windows 10 update. Basically a short while after starting the antivirus it stops working. I get a message "An error occurred in the protection", and a recommendation to reboot, but rebooting doesn't fix it. When I check in the Windows security control panel I see that Windows Defender is activated. How do I get Panda working again?

First turn off Defender and see if that makes Panda work. If it doesn't I would uninstall Panda completely and use the removal tool afterwards. Then reboot and reinstall Panda. It should work after that.

Go to start - run, type services.msc and press OK
Locate the Panda services in the list (they start by the name Panda) and check whether they are started

Thanks for your replies. I ended up doing a normal uninstall with the Windows "programs and features" tool and then reinstalling and now it says that it is working.
