[CLOSED] Panda vaccine won´t let me accsess my external hard drive

Hi, I downloaded an installed (last night) the latest Panda vaccine and now I cannot access my external hard drive. I´m running Windows 7 Ultimate. My hard drive is a 1TB Samsung (cant remember model, because I cant see de info). During instalation, I didnt check the vaccine NTFS (im almost sure), cause i didnt wanted it to mess with the drive. I checkeck the automatic vaccine feature.

After an hour I tried to copy some info to the drive and noticed it was really slow (probably was being vaccinated) then after a few hours I couldnt simply access it.

The USB flash drive im using is working fine, but the external hardrive cant be access. Whenever I try to, I get this message: "Cycling redundancy check" or "the parameter is incorrect". Cannot run anything on the command prompt. Windows sees the drive when I plug it but it takes a long time and only says that I have to format before use it. Format IS NOT an option for me, I was working saving info on it and have some very sensitive info on it. Whenever I right click on the disk Windows Explorer crashes.

I`m not computer savy but my guess is the vaccine is is stoping the hard drive´s auto run.

I tried to run it on a different computer but same thing happened.

I unistalled Panda vaccine to prevent that from happening to other drives. (Should I re-install?)
I also use other devices like Data cards for internet, and a magic jack. Will the vaccine affect them too?

My next step would be to instal Ubuntu on a different computer and see if a different OS can access the files in the disk, but I dont know if that will work. (is it a long shot?)

Please help, I really need the new info on that drive.

Hi Karonte,

If the external HD can't be accessed under Windows OS, the only way (as you said before) should be the installation of the Ubuntu or something similar.

Other option could be the ERD COMMANDER software or Mini Windows Xp Portable...
