[CLOSED] Problem with Panda Antivirus 2012 and Autodesk Revit 2013

Postby marcin » Thu, 20 Sep 2012, 21:20

Hello!

I have the problem similar to descriped into topic: http://support.pandasecurity.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=317&p=1446

My configuration is: Windows 7 Pro x64, Revit 2013, Panda Antivirus 2012

If I install clean Panda Antivirus then Revit 2013 won't start - nothing happens and there is only the error message into application log.
If I install hotfix hft111104s4_r6.exe then Revit starts to work properly. But after couple of days the problem renews - Revit crash at startup. Then I have to uninstall Panda to get working Revit. Only disabling Panda doesn't help - I have to uninstall it!

I observed the same bechaviour on three various computers.

Below is the report from application log:

Does disabling the unknown threats protection or behavioral analysis within it correct the problem?

No.
Disabling the unknown threats protection doesn't helped - that is why I installed hotfix.
From that time I have unknown threats protection disabled all the time.

Now, when Revit crashes even after applying hotfix I even disabled known threats protection (so all protections in Panda are disabled!) - but that doesn't helped. Revit runs ok only if I uninstall Panda.

Please help!

In order to narrow down the problem and identify which protection is causing the problem, please follow the steps below:
  1. Uninstall the antivirus and reboot the machine.
  2. After rebooting,
  3. download the latest version of the antivirus.
  4. Now, double click on the downloaded file so that the installation wizard begins.
  5. After you have chosen the language from the drop-down menu, select the Custom installation, enable only the Antivirus protection and then continue with the installation process.
  6. Reboot in safe mode. If you don’t know how, use the Microsoft guide.
  7. Rename the following files located in the antivirus installation folder. IMPORTANT: start with one file at a time and check if the problem is solved. If so, let us know which of the following files you renamed last:

    • PavHttp.dll
    • PavTpLsp.dll
    • PavTrc.dll
    • PavTrc64.dll
    • WebProxy.exe
  8. Reboot normally.

At this point, there are two possible options:
  1. The problem persists
In this case, please reboot in safe mode and rename the following files located in the antivirus installation folder. IMPORTANT: start with one file at a time and check if the problem is solved. If so, let us know which of the following files you renamed last.
Rename TPSrv and SysTools executable files:

If you have a 32 bits Operating System:

Rename the file TPSrv.exe located in the antivirus installation folder to TPSrv.ex_
Rename the file SysTools.dll located in C:\Windows\System32\ to SysTools.dl_
    Reboot normally
If you have a 64 bits Operating System:
Rename the file TPSrvWow.exe located in the antivirus installation folder to TPSrvWow.ex_
Rename the file SysHelper32.dll located in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ to SysHelper32.dl_
Rename the file SysHelper64.dll located in C:\Windows\System32\ to SysHelper64.dl_
    Reboot normally.
  2. The problem no longer occurs
In this case, please follow the steps below:
Reboot in safe mode and restore all the renamed files to their original names.
Reboot normally. If the problem is not present when restoring all the renamed file names, install the remaining protections one by one and restart after each one until the problem appears again.
Please let us know which protection causes the problem. Thank you in advance!
