Good Morning,
I updated my Panda product from Global Protection 2015 to the same product but the newer version, 2016. After the install is completed and opens it crashes and gives me a 57 page crash report to send to Apple.
So a quick run down on the steps taken, After down loading the 2016 version and using the uninstaller to uninstall the 2015 version I'm asked to put in the product key and validate which it does and it down loads the updated malware files as expected. On completion it opens to a first time user screen then hangs for about 5 seconds then closes and the crash report pops up. I've rebooted and tried again and I've also uninstalled 2016 and reinstalled with the same report being generated after opening.

Which operating system are you using?
In order to continue with the study of your incident, Panda Security needs to collect additional data from your computer.
To determine which process is crashing, a post-mortem dump of the computer is needed. To generate this file, please download the document How to generate a post-mortem memory dump, follow the steps indicated and forward the resulting files to us.
In order to send us big files we have developed this tool to make the process easier.
Just download Submit_FILES_To_FTP.exe (641 KB) and run it.
It will request you the following information:
The folder where the files to be sent are stored
Your forum nickname
When this information is entered, click the Submit button and the information will be automatically sent.
Please, after submitting the files to the FTP, make a new post so that we acknowledge that there are new files in the FTP to be taken care of.

I've got a product key for windows and for a Mac
I purchased a 3 licence product, when I log into my account it shows 3 product keys against the icons for windows mac and android.
so I guess that's why its crashing my Mac?

You didn't mention that the installation was in a MAC, in that case it isn't Panda Global Protection 2016, but Panda for MAC
Please contact the local support team in your country about this matter to open an official case so that we can send the information to our MAC partner

I received an update and the issue you mention is corrected with the latest version
Please uninstall Panda for MAC, download the latest version from your Panda Account and install it
