reading this article (link below) regarding this "DoubleAgent" zero-day attack it states that an attack called DoubleAgent uses a Windows bug-fixing tool to turn antivirus into malware.
In the list of antivirus products compromised is Panda

I'm also interested in this. I tried to download and install the patch. However it stuck at 100%. The AV turns off automatically and CPU is stuck at 25% cpu load until I reboot. After reboot the AV works as normal again.
Is it safe to assume this has been patched so that the patch is no longer relevant?
