Your PC is not protected

Post by Shinojmkd »

after upgrading to the latest version, I face the following error.
Each every time I turn on my PC and open panda I see this error, after a restart it's fixed.
is there any way to fix it without restarting my PC each and every time I turn on it?

Sorry for the late reply
Without further information about the services status there is not much we can do
Can you provide a PSInfo?

Hi

In this case what happens is that Panda Product Service is not started. Are you able to start it manually or does it crash?
Apart from that I see remains from nor properly uninstalled Avast, Kaspersy and Symantec and what seems to be a remain from an old Movies Toolbar infection
There are many windows updates yet to be applied
There are also some hard disk errors shown in the EVTs:
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk2\DR5.

So:
1. Run a scandisk to discard any disk errors
2. Apply all the pending Windows Updates
3. Run an additional scan with Panda Cloud Cleaner
4. Run Avast, Kaspersy and Symantec uninstallers to make sure to remove the remains

I have formatted the PC to remove any unwanted files, and also when I start panda services manually it works.
I still have the same issue.
what do I need to now?

Did you run scandisk as instructed to make sure that there are no hard disk problems?

When chkdsk unmounts the volume to be scanned before windows starts, you should see a message stating something like "to skip the disk scan press any key in x seconds"
So if you pressed any key while this message was shown you have cancelled chkdsk

Yes, using scandisk instead, but it will also need to unmount the volume as it is the operating system volume

Anyway the Panda Product Service not starting at boot problem should be already solved, but the strange thing is that you shouldn't be experiencing it in Windows 7
Please check this thread for the new installers: http://support.pandasecurity.com/forum/ ... =95&t=6283

I have run chkdsk on boot and the logs are attached below.
Chkdsk log.rar

well, i think I need to explain the problem a bit more when I start windows panda protection services are not starting but when I start it manually on when I restart my PC it starts automatically and works like a champ.
and also there is no COMS battery on My PC, I get this error when I start the PC, I update date and time by online when it starts up, anyway that can be the issue because panda 18.0.0 worked well with this situation. (current version 18.01.00)

so please check the logs and let me know the next step.
