Scan Still Freezing

Hello,

I made a post on the forums back on September 10. The post was regarding experiencing technical problems with Panda Global Protection Version 17.0.1. The technical problem was that when I tried to use the full scan and critical areas scan the scan would freeze at 18,000+. It has been two weeks since I made that post and no one has responded. Just yesterday I received the physical CD copy of Panda Global Protection Version 17.0.1. I ordered the physical CD because I would to have a physical backup of the virus program. Today I uninstalled Panda and reinstalled using the CD. I did this because I have come across posts of the forums that suggest doing so would help resolve this technical problem. However, even after doing that Panda is still freezing. Oddly enough it still stops at 18,000+. I really do not know what else I can do. Please can I have some guidance and advice I what to do. I do not what to have wasted $75 and change on a virus protection program that does not work to it fullest capabilities. Please can I have someone from technical support help me with this issue. Thank you.

Hello,

1) Uninstall the GP from the control panel
2) Erase any trace with the generic uninstaller http://www.pandasecurity.com/resources/ ... taller.exe
3) Check if the disk does not have some error in the filesystem and sectors for that runs the full scandisk in the cmd

Click on start, type cmd, you will get system symbol, then right click and click and run as administrator, then type the following

chkdsk c: /f/r/x

Will ask to restart, say yes.

4) Perform disk defragmentation to optimize performance

5) Download again http://www.pandasecurity.com/resources/ ... con/gp.exe

Try the analysis again.
