Data Shield on Network Folders

Post by SeeKer »

As topic says: I cannot select network folders to be protected by Data Shield. A text imput filed that accepts UNC paths would be nice.
I have several files on my NAS, and I would very much like to have them not encrypted by an cryptolocker (should the Virus somehow slip through Pandas AV engine).
Also the help page ("How does the Data Shield work?") does not state whether file extentions ("Protect only files with the following extensions") are protected all over the system, including network, or only in the folders that are selected in "Folders to protect".

Dear client

We do protect locally. Our antivirus installs locally and protects locally.
if the antivirus is correctly protected, no infection shoudl be passed on to the network folders, but we cannot protect by datashield a network folder as being a network folder is for several user to access it, so, which would be the configuration to be applied? yours or user1, or user2...?

Thi is the reason datashield is used for local folders, there is only one setup to be applied: yours.
