[SOLVED] Panda causing chrome error message

Post by cbrowne91 »

I use google chrome browser, and keep getting this message:

"The instruction at 0x50206a35 referenced memory at 0x50206a35. The memory could not be written. Click on OK to terminate the program."

It seems to be associated with a Shockwave Flash crash.

I would like to draw your attention to this forum post:

It appears that Panda seems to be causing this. Is there any way around this problem?

Hello,

Thank you for your post.

Does the issue occur when you disable the Panda protection (via the system tray icon)?

If so, you may try to uninstall your Panda protection and do a custom re-installation, choosing to install only the antivirus module.
Does the issue persist?
If not, try installing the other Panda components (can be done via the Panda GUI) so that we can find out which Panda component is the culprit.

Let us know.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Radko

The problem seems to be caused by a conflict between Adobe Flash Player and Chrome's internal Shockwave Player plugin
