Re: OS detection intrusion attempt from own IP address
Thank you Jorge, Then I will stop worrying :) Because of the IP of my own PC, it just sounds like there's something in my machine trying to compromise my system, like some spyware, trojan or maybe NSA :) But, I gather that you have encountered this before, so maybe it's just some Windows thing, some...

[CLOSED] OS detection intrusion attempt from own IP address
Dear Jorge, Nice to see that you're still going strong :) I have managed quite well since my little problem over a year ago, but now I have noticed something that I find a bit odd in my Panda event log. Maybe you can assist me, in telling me what it is and if some action should be taken? I have sear...

Re: Conduit in the Root!
No hurry Jorge, you can deal with this after the weekend: 1. Uploaded fresh PSInfo file to FTP (Ignore the first upload, the second upload is cleaner) 2. All 3 files in \DOMStore are deleted but the folder remain 3. Did a Cloud Scan after latest MS Update since some files wanted access through the ...

Re: Conduit in the Root!
Jesus Jorge, now I understand! Took a short brake from the garden, ran some updates, did a Panda Cloud Scan AND decided to click the question mark in order to get some more information. Jorge, you have the tool I need, you call it "Trusted" BUT since I am sitting in a 64-bit environment I ...

Re: Conduit in the Root!
Welcome back Jorge, hope you have had a good weekend, What are the symptoms right now? Is your search engine changed? Are your searches being redirected? Is your home page changed? Between 20-22 daily application crashes, but I don't think that has anything to do with the remains of Conduit since I'...

Re: Conduit in the Root!
Nope, compressed it and still over 1 MB. Suppose you don't want to mail me which leaves only one option > I got this remedy from a system specialist, close to Panda, a while back who said Conduit can be really tricky to get rid off: 1. Uninstall Chrome and Firefox if you have them installed 2. Clean...

Re: Conduit in the Root!
Went well, but the file is too big to be attached. Maximum allowed size is 1 MB and my file is 2 196 kB.
I doubt that ziping it will reduce the size to below 1 MB, or what do you think?
Send me a mail and I'll attach it with the answer!
No hurry, see you tomorrow...

Re: Conduit in the Root!
Using IE of course, have no other browser. Don't like to download unnecessary stuff, could contain Conduit :D. Don't have another PC either. When scanning the download with Panda it contains 44 files and is 3 772 kB. Can't I just change the extension then to .exe or .zip or something else? That has ...
