I've run into problems with ATL90.dll from Visual C++ 2008 and I'm having a hell of a time getting it resolved. I mention it only because you might run into issues with apps that users have installed and not know until later.

Not a 100% solution, but pretty damn close. I still had an error with a DLL belonging to Bluetooth-related drivers, fixing that now. Programs that had disappeared from add/remove programs are now working again.

Looks like the tool is live on http://www.pandasecurity.com/uk/homeuse ... ?id=100045. Just ran it, restarting now. It's not very descriptive though in what it's doing and took just over 5 minutes to finish.

So, I have noticed something that I don't think has been addressed. I have confirmed at least one instance where multiple programs were missing from Add/Remove Programs. I believe these programs are going to need to be re-installed, regardless of what happens with this fix. That is potentially a big...
