Re: Panda Dome free 21.01.00 becomes silently disabled
I changed an antivirus setting from 30 to 60 seconds. This has resulted in no further instances of Panda Dome becoming disabled. In other words, the red spot on the Panda Dome object in the right hand end of the task bar has not been seen since the setting change.

Panda Dome free 21.01.00 becomes silently disabled
This happens with both Windows 7 SP1 and Windows XP SP3. There is no warning or alert, except for a small red spot on the tiny system tray icon. Starting the Panda Dome GUI restarts the anti-virus function.

Re: Number of files scanned
I uninstalled than reinstalled Panda Dome Free 21.02.01. So far the number of files scanned has reached 94,000 without Panda Dome stopping protection.

Number of files scanned
What happens when the number of files scanned hits a maximum value or is that maximum so high that it is never likely to be exceeded?
I noticed that Panda Dome Free 21.02.01 (Windows 7 SP1 64bit) was indicating that it had stopped protecting when the number if files scanned was approaching 150,000.

Version 21.00.00 works a treat with Windows XP SP3. All the problems with version 20.02.01 have ceased.

Re: Does scanning compressed files slow down Panda Dome?
Thanks Darth. I could imagine that this slows down the real time protection functions and so slows the whole system. I also guess that when files are decompressed, Panda Dome is on the job scanning the files that are decompressed.

Does scanning compressed files slow down Panda Dome?
I wondered why scanning compressed files is not enabled by default. Is it because enabling the scanning of compressed files slows Panda Dome?
