Unfortunately, the MAC agent only allows a limited functionality, and does not include the administration interface, so remote controlling of a MAC or other device, has to be done from a Windows machine.

Probably the best thing to do would be to restart the server, and then re-run the upgrade file, as this will normally resolve most issues that occur during an update/upgrade.
