Panda - Installation Finished Error

Post by tcsdi_support1 »

Hi Support,

We encountered an issue during installation where the agent is not showing after running the installer

1. We opened the installer.msi on the endpoint
2. We clicked next until the installer is finished
3. We waited but the installation of panda agent is not showing up on the bottom of the screen

Also, we can't able to get the PSInfo logs, every time we run the PSInfo.exe nothing happen it will not appear on the screen.

We tried to install on the other Windows XP SP2 unit and it was successfully installed on the computer.

There's any other way to solve this?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,
Christian

Hi tcsdi_support1,

In which platform are you installing the agent? Aether?

Check in the registry you don't have hijacked the antivirus files. The registry key is:
32 bits:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options

64 bits:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options

We use Aether platform installer to install on Windows XP SP2

What we will do here on the registry?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options

64 bits:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options

Hi Darth,

We try to get open PSinfo, but it will not open, we wait too long but still not opening.

For clarification, we install windows XP 3 not on Windows XP SP 2. But on SP 3 we tried to install but the agent does not continue, it will automatically finish the installation without progress installation.

Kindly see the picture below:
