We confirm the file as a pup for various reasons, statingth two more important ones:

- The application creates undisclosed scheduled tasks to perform actions without the user's knowledge and consent.
- The application reports outdated drivers as obsolete, stating Outdated drivers impact overall stability of the system. This exaggerated and unsubstantiated claim drives a false sense of urgency with the consumer.

Iam sorry to inform that our revision is firm and we keep the status for the files as PUP.

Dear David,

Thank you for the reply.

We have analyzed it and want to clear the issues.

As to term "Obsolete", while updating the program according to AppEsteem requirements, all Obsolete statements have been changed to Outdated, which satisfied AppEsteem and TweakBit Driver Updater has been removed from the Deceptor List.

As to the scheduling issue, we have reviewed Driver Updaters of our competitors: https://driverrestore.com/, https://www.systweak.com/advanced-driver-updater/ and both of them have the same scan scheduling as we do, yet you don't detect these updaters and AppEsteem even certified them as proper.

Can you please verify our updated software to make sure it is up to the standards:

TweakBit Driver Updater installer link: dynamicdownloads.tweakbit.com/driver/st/ppc/driver-updater-setup
TweakBit Driver Updater build link: downloads.tweakbit.com/en/driver-updater/st/driver-updater-setup.exe

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Elena

Hello Elena,

If no changes has been done to scheduling, we are going to keep detecting it as a pup.

- The application creates undisclosed scheduled tasks to perform actions without the user's knowledge and consent.

Hi David,

I have forwarded all of the information to our developers as to Driver Updater.
In the meantime, is it possible to find out why TweakBit Filer Recovery is also being detected by your antivirus?

Download link: http://www.tweakbit.com/file-recovery/download/

Thank you.

Hello.

The reasons why that kind of programs are detected as a pup can be several reasons, for example:

- When runing the setup, the program includes ads or toolbars which are considered as a pup.

- Behavior of the program once has been installed in the computer, like the other program that is being currently modified to avoid detection.

Dear David,

Our developers went up and down the File Recovery and didn't find any ads or additional toolbars other than means to recover files. Also, it doesn't have any undisclosed scheduled tasks or automatic scans to perform actions without the user's knowledge and consent.

It is a simple tool to recover files and nothing else.

Can you please check the application again to verify the abovementioned.

Thank you in advance.

Is it carefully marked?

on the off chance that you sign carefully your documents, we could reject the mark, so you won't need to stress again over future discharges.

The computerized mark must be ensured by an approved guaranteeing organization.
