[CLOSED] Panda Anti-Virus Pro Not uninstalling

Post by vezdolphin »

Hi there

Trying to uninstall panda anti virus pro so that I can load global security 2013 (5 year one).

In installing global security it detects anti virus pro 2012, so I click on 'uninstall' (even tried doing it through the program manager, closed automatic protection in the tool bar etc).

It still comes up with the following message when the install shield wizard tries to start:

Panda Anti Virus Pro 2012
An error (-5006 : 0x8000ffff) has occurred while running the setup.

Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications. If the error still occurs, please contact your vendor: Panda Security.

So - what am I failing to do please?! (if I do not post again quickly it is because I am away)

Thanks

Hi!

Try running the following tool in order to remove any instances of Panda:
http://www.pandasecurity.com/resources/ ... TALLER.exe

Once done, please try running the 2013 installation once again.

Cheers!
