[SOLVED] license expired early

Post by wallison »

I have Panda Antivirus Pro 2012 with a license expiration of 8/29/2013 but Panda expired my account on 6/8/2013.
What is going on? I'm confused.

Go to the update settings - license data
Does it show the correct expiry date there?
Click the Refresh data link and check if the problem is corrected

Thank you for your reply.

As I am online writing this message, I went into Panda then License Data then Refresh Data. The response is - Connection Error - "Could not access the updates server. Check that you are connected to the Internet."

Since I am messaging you, I am obviously connected to the internet. Still confused.
Here is a new message, a pop up status box:
could not update - then underneath, refresh data.

I clicked refresh then went into Panda again.
I clicked refresh data again and received the same "could not access the update server"
I then tried the "extend license" button. This gave me the following error message:

Panda Antivirus Pro 2012 Activation Wizard
Oops, an error has occurred:

Generic Error: An error occurred during product activation.
Error code: 0005:0002

following the help instructions, it says the error may occur if IE is set to Work Offline (I am using Firefox, but my IE was set to offline) I have just changed IE to online.
I now received the message -

Product Activation - correct ID details

GOOD NEWS - EVERYTHING IS NOW FIXED!!!
The hidden source of the problem was a product update done last year. Apparently it never updated to the Panda system. This was because I normally keep IE offline because I use the Firefox browser.

Suggestion- allow Panda to work through Firefox.
