[CLOSED] icc.dll identified as PUP by Panda - no internet connection following this

Post by RR90 »

Dear All,

I use Windows Vista and recently, after completing a Vista update and then browsing the web, my antivirus (Free Panda) identified a "icc.dll" as PUP and requested me to restart the computer. I accepted this and after restarting, my desktop toolbar seemed as if it was from a very old Windows version
Adding to this, I was not able to open/utilise the following programmes:
- audio service
- windows defender not opening/running
- Unable to connect to the internet - no modem identified.

I wonder if you could give me assistance/advice on how to restore laptop's functionality as I can't even access the internet.

Thank you for your help.

Kind Regards,
RR90

You can restore the detected file from the antivirus quarantine, but anyway, we will need a copy of the antivirus report and a password compressed copy of the icc.dll file once it has been restored so that we can check it
