[SOLVED] Please add Web PKI to your whitelist

Post by leopignataro » Fri, 02 Dec 2016, 00:00

Dear Panda Antivirus team,

We are the developers of Web PKI, a browser extension that allows webpages to integrate with the user's X.509 certificates in order to provide authentication by certificate and/or digital signatures.

All our installers are signed with an Extended Validation Codesign Certificate issued by Digicert and downloaded in a HTTPS session. Nevertheless, they are being blocked without warning by your product. These are:

- English version: https://get.webpkiplugin.com/Downloads/ ... tup-win-en
- Portuguese version: https://get.webpkiplugin.com/Downloads/ ... tup-win-pt
- IE-specific version: https://get.webpkiplugin.com/Downloads/2.1.1/setup-ie

Additionally, the following components are also part of the solution:

- Chrome extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... aoklddcgon
- Firefox add-on: https://get.webpkiplugin.com/firefox-extensions/2_7_1

Additional information your laboratory may find useful:

- Codesign certificate: https://files.lacunasoftware.com/codesi ... ficate.zip
- Installation page: https://get.webpkiplugin.com/ (the installation differs if you access it on Chrome, Firefox or IE)
- Demonstration page: http://webpki.lacunasoftware.com/#/Demo

Please add our installers and possibly our extensions to your whitelist.

Thank you for your consideration.

Yours faithfully,

Leonardo Pignataro

I have sent the software to our laboratory for being whitelisted
This process takes quite a long time to be completed but it will eventually be whitelisted

Thank you very much, Jorge!

One question: do we need to resubmit this request everytime there's an update?

Being digitally signed, it should only be necessary if the signature expires and you add a new one

Hi,

The files won't be detected again with the next signature update/synchronization
