Windows 10

Post by Matthieu »

Hello,

I just installed Microsoft Windows 10 and PCSM is not working on it. Do you have any news about compatibility?

Thank you by advance.
Best regards

Same here, I get a .NET error of no IPC port connection on a freshly upgraded win 8.1 to 10 Enterprise.
Seems strange that no one responds to this, and not seeing more people complaining of the same problem.
Can it be an isolated issue?

Hi guys,

did you reinstall PSM Agent after upgrade to Windows 10?
Maybe Windows doesn't upgrade all related files to our software correctly.

First step after upgrade should be a clean installation of PSM and antivirus software as MS recommends.

A fresh install of all components/agents followed by a .NET repair/reinstall seems to have worked!
A virtual machine Win 10 preview even installed all .NET components automagically!
Only question remaining is that my web console still shows the computer that was upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10 as having "Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Enterprise N 6.3.9600", hope it will update by itself as I don´t see any way to do it by hand.

--------UPDATE------------
A manually triggered audit solved the OS identifying problem.
Still, the agent would fail to launch sometimes, giving out the same .NET error. Setting the CAGService to delayed start seems to have done the trick.

We don't get a .Net error just the PCSM service does not seem to start after a Windows 10 upgrade. Once we start the service manually then everything seems to work after that. I was reading somewhere on here that there is a different version for Win10 versus Win7 but all my devices seem to be running the same version, 4.4.1854.1854. Do we need to install an update on the Win10 devices?
