Hi,
i've noticed on a few computers that the process Gui.exe jumps from 0% to up to around 20% CPU Usage for a second and then back to 0, it is doing this every few seconds. This computer is XP sp2. Also when this happens it appears that the network usage rises aswell.
On other computers it jumps from 0% to just 2% every few seconds

Re: GUI.exe high CPU
Hello again
GUI.exe (the Agent System Tray Monitor) will spike CPU and consume traffic when it communicates with the console.
E.g. when you schedule a job - CPU consumption will rise. GUI.exe will also automatically communicate with the cloud console, however 20% CPU utilization is quite much (if you're not running on a PIII CPU that is).
In any case, your first concern is to ensure your machines are up-to-date.
Let us know what happens!
Cheers!

Thanks for this
Re: GUI.exe high CPU
Hi,
I've updated this PC (xp sp3)
Lenovo ThinkCentre 761178G Desktop Computer - 2.50 GHz - Tower
Memory: 2.0 GB
However, the gui.exe is still jumping every few seconds to between 18-20% cpu then back to 0% for a few seconds (this is when I monitor it through panda task manager)
Panda audit shows the CPU as a Intel Pentium III Xeon processor...
Mike

In any case, I suggest you contact your local Panda support dpt. so that an official case can be created for this:
