HTTPS Certificate for HTTPS Proxy is valid for only one year

Post by lamprosk88 »

Hello,

i have activate on my GD Performa eSB the https filtering. I have installed on the workstations the https certificate, that i have export from the GD.

But i notice that the certificate has an expiration day, and it says that the certificate it will be valid only for 1 year.

That means that after 1 year, i will need to get a new certificate from GD and re install it. Is that true?

Is there any way to extend the duration of the certificate? Or any method to avoid re installing the https certificate after 1 year?

Hi Lamprosk88,

We believe that unfortunately there is no option to extend that year on the local machines but in any case We requested more information about it to the product manager.

We will inform You back as soon as We can.

Best Regards

Hi Lamprosk88,

I regret to tell you that the certificates have one year validity and that after the year, you need to replace them with a new one.

About how to replace them in each computer, if you have few computers you can do it manually and otherwise you can use some scripting to install it.

Best Regards
