I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on Android 4.4.2 and have started to suffer from a known Android bug namely the constant running of mm-qcamera-daemon which drains the battery as you watch!

If you Google the problem you will see that many users suffer this problem and sadly Google/Android is aware of the bug but has never fixed it!

And unfortunately posts are starting to appear which say that the problem still exists in Android Lollipop! !

I have at present download from Google Play the App "D-Vasive by John McAfee" which locks access to the camera software which appears to stop it.

Question:

As I would rather use Panda do you have plans to add similar features to your app which can lock access to apps OR add to the Panda Task Killer the option to stop the running "out of control" of mm-qcamera-daemon?

Please can you help me and all those who are struggling with this issue.

Well, this is an Android issue.
You can check which applications can access the camera in the Privacy Auditor protection, in the Access media category, therefore you will know which applications you can kill that may be triggering this mm-qcamera-daemon from the Task killer

Just a quick thought -

Is there any chance/way that the task mm-qcamera-daemon can be added to the lists of tasks which can be killed?

Currently when it is running out of control it does not show up on the Panda Task list

If its a system process I'm afraid that we won't have the permissions to kill it, if its not a system process it should appear in the Task Killer.
We will have to perform some tests
