I was happy in the past with Panda Cloud because of its "lightness" on system resources but I am having issues with Panda free on my new Windows 8 machine.
In the mornings my computer is essentially frozen by excessive Panda scanning, with C\ usage hitting 100% according to the Task manager. I assumed a scan was scheduled by default so I set it to a low-use time.
That was not the issue and Panda seems to want to scan the entire disk every morning still.
I know its Panda because it shows in the process tab (not pictured).
Pic attached FWIW, disk usage spikes much higher.
Thanks for advice-

Re: High disk usage in Panda free
Which exact Panda product and version are you using?
You can check it in the version.ini file located in the antivirus installation folder
