Deleted files from USB Device
Deleted files from USB Device
Hi,
Yesterday evening while I wanted to add a file in my USB key to print it I discovered that Panda was deleting some very important files from my USB DEVICE ! It deleted 3 important files that I really need and I can't find them anymore. They're not in the quarantine and not in the Windows Recycle Bin. I also tried some apps like Recuva to recover my files but in vain. Please I really need to recover my files but I don't know how.
Thank's for asking and reading.
PS: There is a screenshot of the Event report ( it's written in French:lol:)

Re: Deleted files from USB Device
ON the report there is no sign of the deleted files.
Are you sure it was panda deleting this files?
Thing is, if they are malware, we do delete them and there is no possiblity to recover them, whereas if the are unknown they are sent to quarentine.
Try saving the log to your computer, and attach it to this thread.
regards

Recovering Data/files from USB Drives by the manual way is really impossible and there no guarantee that data is safe.Using Removable Media Data Recovery an utility well programmed to recover data from corrupt or damaged removable medias, such as: Compact Disc (CDs), Digital Versatile Disc (DVDs), Blue Ray Disc, External Hard Drives, USB Pen Drives, USB Flash Drives, SD Cards. Can successfully restores all the your missing data of the USB Flash drive, there no doubt.

Hi sorry for the time I took to answer,
But it didn't work for me.
Yes I'm sure Panda deleted it because in my Windows Notifications I saw it but when I clicked on it nothing appeared.
I tried with another file like the one that was deleted but older, and it deleted it and I saved the logs.

what is a link file (.lnk) doing inside your pendrive?
where does it point to?
why don ´t you try to format your pendrive?

Re: Deleted files from USB Device
If a malware have been found on those files, I am afraid would be impossible to recover.
In any case, if you try to recover those malware files, before recovering them, my suggestion would be to exclude them from analysis, so they are not deleted again right after recovery.
