PSUAService

Post by cassie175 »

PSUAService has encoutered a problem.

This is coming up every 10 minutes but is still in the Processes list - using Win XP.

This is getting very annoying.

Any solution?

I'm getting exactly the same, every 10 minutes.

Panda v18.03.00 on Win XP. My processor does support SSE2.

Same thing here, also running Vista (Ultimate) 64bit. It started today, 5/01, two days after upgrading Panda Free to Panda Dome Free v.18.05.00. Makes me wonder if the error was triggered by the date and will stop after midnight on 5/02, especially since I found no sign of the PSUA error prior to 5/01 in the application events viewer.

Some points of interest:

Allowing the Windows Error Reporting window to remain open but minimized to the taskbar instead of closing it every time seems to stabilize Panda somewhat. The error does continue to occur in the background but at least Panda Dome doesn't go critical and need a restart every hour or so.

When Panda Dome does go critical and ask for a restart, Windows Security Center still shows that's it's on and green.

same as others:

Try latest version:

http://acs.pandasoftware.com/Panda/FREE ... FREEAV.exe

if that does not work, try sending the psinfo for the machine:

Panda Support Information tool

From a computer with Internet connection, download and save the Panda Support Information tool in your computer.

http://enterprise.updates.pandasoftware ... OPinfo.exe

Accept the license agreement.

Now, access the General tab, fill in your customer and product details and describe your issue.
Tick the Do not send, save local option (psinfo1.png).
Click Start for the hardware and software collection process to begin.
Once completed, send us the resulting file, in .7z format
Example: COMPUTERNAME_[DATE-TIME]_PSInfo.7z
Attach to an email all files requested and send them to us to complete the study of the incident and solve it.

PSinfo requires a customer number to begin. I have no customer number.

WINDOWS XP fully SP'd

I also have the PSUAService error.
I installed the release advised by the Moderator at the end of this thread.
And likewise, I ran the PCOPinfo.exe Diagnostic Tool, but because I don't have a Customer Number it will not activate.

This is the third day I've put up with this and it will be the last day. I'm sorry, I love Panda but I just can't have this insidious error message interfering with my work every 5 minutes.

Well, the PSUAService errors seem to have stopped for me. Has this problem been resolved? I've not done anything at my end.
