We do work on the cloud. we do check files online, on our servers, so internet connection is needed in order to fully protect you against malware, pups and suspicious files.

It does have a small sig file locally installed.
But when you are not connected to internet, and you have just , been connected, what kind of malware could you get if not connected

Run a full scan from your computer when connected to internet.
if it does not find anything, it wont be there when you disconnect from internet, as it won´t be able to download it..
And as for external drives or memories, yo uwill have to be very, very careful.
Do not insert any usb, but an already scanned usb, and then you will be safe.

To explain in short: no, you are not equallyprotected with and without internet connection.

Panda will have restrictions on protection if you are not connected. but you will not be fully protected.
Then if you do not have connection, how do you expect to update sig files on ANY antivirus? Or, how do you download files without internet connection?
Do you use external pendrives on a computer whose antivirus cannot be updated?
Protection is a very sensitive chapter on computing, and is a matter of the person sitting in front of the computer, as well.
We can only protect correctly if the computer is used sensibly.
