False Positive with Atom software

Post by 2Flow2 » Sat, 02 Feb 2019, 00:46

Hi there! I (and multiple other users) are encountering false positives from the Panda Antivirus software when attempting to use the Atom text editor (https://github.com/atom).

The problem seems to be coming from a file called "tree_sitter_bash_binding.node" being flagged as a Trojan. The code is confirmed to be virus-free and not malicious in any way. The code is open source and can be inspected for yourselves.
For an example of multiple users having issue with it, and to get more details on the file, read this full forum chain (from the point linked onward): https://github.com/atom/language-shells ... -440013816

Thank you very much!

excluding a software declared malware or unknown, can bring unwanted behaviour to your computer.
If you want to whitelist it, send us the software or the digital signature (verified) and we will do so for you
