The service Panda Product Service can not set the status of "delayed startup"! Gives an error message:
"Error 5 Access Denied" (if everything were so simple, I would not write here)
Since the forum can not attach the file I uploaded it to google drive. https://drive.google.com/open?id=12gbgm ... YGOmzBQO8t

I have this issue too on XPSP3 machine. I think this must be fixed, because old versions was not like that. It`s 100% bug.
May be all the 18XXX versions are like this, but i`m sure(because i use it), earlier versions were OK.

Also, no "delayed" option here, so i can`t fix it like other guys. It hangs for 2 minutes or may be more, untill loads.

I`m not ure it will be fixed, because from a couple of versions ahead(16, 17), Panda only make it more "heavy" interface and that`s all....

Windows xp is a dinosaur, with or without antivirus, you are heavily exposed to vulnerabilities. I would recommend to change the computer, not the antivirus.

But in an xp you can try to change the settings for the service to manual, and then either put the service on the startup folder or create a schedule for the program to start.

18.06 is hanging on the CNET site for so long..

But i think the new 18.07.04 is not like that (i.e. fixed). Just install it and found to be good for now..

Today AGAIN the service is hanging! After some restarts, same thing.

Check the fastboot option on the
copntrol panel>all elements>energy options>system config
or choose behaviour for start-stop buttons

uncheck the fastboot option
choose to turn off the machine when the turn off button is pressed.

restart the machine and check if solved

Will see 20.0 if it`s the same

P.S: Yeah, same.. after 2-3 resatrts, it is the same old sh*t

What "energy options" , before some posts i said that i`m with XP SP3 and Panda free antivirus starts to behave like that after some version.
just FIX what you`ve changed and put back things like they were.

I don`t need to change the computer (it`s a powerful enough Buldozer CPU). I`m satisfied wth what i have and the OS i use.
Your panda needs to be FIXED with the stupid services that you`ve changed. I don`t know what is it, but it`s a way too bad.
Also, it may be done to "detect", if it`s an XP, then to install like it was before the change..

I don`t think it`s a change because of 7,8,or 10 windows is requiring this..

Finally, if you don`t fix it, i`ll piss of and erase this panda and that`s it.. may be a lot of other users will do the same..
You don`t have an idea, how many users still use XP, they are HUGE amount, especially when thay realize how "heavy load" is 8 or 10 versions, and also ram hungry..

We can't all live in the past simply because a few people choose too. The old AV technology is antiquated and needs to be updated to stay effective. If the older version worked better for you, install the older version.

It sounds to me like you are no longer satisfied with what you have.

I'm sure the world will suffer as a whole if everyone stops using Windows XP. I'm sure Panda will suffer if you remove their free product. And I am sure I will suffer if I don't read your reply to this post.

If old stuff works for you, use old stuff. Why are you trying to run the latest version of Panda when your OS hasn't seen an update since April 8 of 2014, and your web browser hasn't seen an update since at least June 26 of 2018?

If you run old software because it runs better on your old hardware, why are we having a conversation about you having issues running new software?
