Unknown Update

Panda opened a window indicating that there were definitions not yet installed and ask me to let it be done. After I agreed, it seems that another version was installed and the FireFox browser was closed. New definitions are usually added almost dayly so this was not to be a big deal but closing FireFox without asking specifically if it could is a big deal. I have to hunt down all the emails I had in windows for reference and some of the tabs are not recoverable because the information has changed. This should not happen.

Additionally, a hint on a support ticket says to find the product & version, go to the help menu or click on ? and select about. The version I have does not have ? and when I click on help I get ... m#t=10.htm which does not give this info. When I use the support forum link in the Panda program I get ... 1601088379 which is in Spanish and does not seem to be a Spanish version of this forum. I dug the URL for this forum our of my history.

I know there is nothing that you can tell me except how to avoid having the browser closed unintentionally, but I hope someone can fix the problems I identified.

Hi robeyw,

Some updates/upgrades requires to have the browser closed in order to make that update. That is not an issue, t's a normal behaviour.
I don't know which antivirus version you have, but most of our antivirus shown the version in the About Panda option.

And there is a Spanish version of this forum:

The message I responded to DID NOT say it was to be a update requiring restarting FireFox, it just said there were some rules or definitions not yet implemented. There is a almost dayly update that I don't even notice. The notification should warn of any unusual requirements if they exist.

Where is the the About Panda option?

Today the message is "There are some antivirus upgrades yet to be applied." Now I know not to apply them unless I am ready to restart FireFox, but there is no warning in this message and I dare not click OK.
