I attempted to set up and boot to diagnostic mode in Windows XP via MSCONFIG.
This mode disables all services and startup items except those need to boot the PC.
But I get this message, "An access denied error was returned while attempting to change a service"
I suspect this is the A/V protecting it's services.
Can this action be temporarily disabled so I can get to the diagnostic mode properly ?

You will need to reboot into safe mode to be able to temporarily disable our servicesdavexnet wrote:Can this action be temporarily disabled so I can get to the diagnostic mode properly ?
