Can the pop-up ads be stopped?

I have Panda Global Protection and my subscription expires on July 22. For a couple weeks, Panda has been pushing pop-up ads in the lower right corner of my screen several times a day reminding me that my subscription expires in two months. I have not decided whether to renew for another two years, but this advertising method is certainly making me not want to renew. I cannot stop the ad as far as I can tell. Has anyone else stopped the ad without uninstalling or renewing? Thanks.

In order to avoid the pop ups, open Panda , click on the 3 lines at the top and click on settings, then turn news off.
