As the title says, when Firefox is the default browser, and the profile(s) are not in the default location, the online installer don't work.
This is not a new issue, i started to use Panda in 2014, and any time i try to install Panda, i have the same problem.
In fact, same issue was reported here: http://support.pandasecurity.com/forum/ ... =84&t=4373
Why Panda can't be installed ? Well, let's see
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the file profiles.ini generated by Firefox, when the profile is in the default location
As you can see, THIS IS A RELATIVE PATH
[General]
StartWithLastProfile=1
[Profile0]
Name=default
IsRelative=1
Path=Profiles/hecvnk6r.default
Default=1
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the file profiles.ini generated by Firefox, when the profile(s) has a custom location
As you can see, IS NOT A RELATIVE PATH
[General]
StartWithLastProfile=1
[Profile0]
Name=Profile1
IsRelative=0
Path=C:\Users\User1\Documents\Firefox\Profiles\Profile1
[Profile1]
Name=Profile2
IsRelative=0
Path=C:\Users\User1\Documents\Firefox\Profiles\Profile2
Default=1
[Profile2]
Name=Profile3
IsRelative=0
Path=C:\Users\User1\Documents\Firefox\Profiles\Profile3

Here is the answer to the original question: Why Panda can't be installed ?
Because the Firefox's profiles.ini file says that the profile's path is not relative, but the installer use the relative path of the profile0 for finding the pref.js Firefox's file.
I hope Panda 2017 will not give me this problem again
Firefox default browser, custom profile location, online installer don't work
