Many issues this morning... please help

Post by mattlitchfield »

It looks like Panda pushed out an update this morning. Most of my users were prompted to restart by Panda. Now, many, many applications will not run. Everyone is getting DLL errors. Even Panda is throwing DLL errors. We are at a standstill. I can't get through to Tech Support on the phone. Is anyone else having these issues?

Thanks,
Matt

No, unfortunately you're not.
We have a user base of 150 computers which are all in the same boat.
Luckily we got through to their corporate sales team who advised "DO NOT REBOOT" but alas, for a large percentage of users, it was too late.

Looking forward to hearing how Panda are going to fix these machines and compensate us for the £12,000 an hour our company is losing :\

the only way to get my machine back online was to disable the Panda services in Windows and then delete all pandathings withe
the generic Panda uninstaller. now the PCs with the problems running.

Panda quarantines a bunch of files. How were those restored?

Same problems. Panda deleted/quaranted some system files.
Apps doesn't start, eg word, regedit.. maybe many more and more..
couple of computers even didn't boot without Windows system restore.

Same advices from sales contact: do not reboot or update Panda.
He told me there was failed virus definition file.. but it was rolled back.. at 14:20 gmt2

I did system restore for couple of Computers and that helped. also restored quarantined files from console.

Same problem here. 135 licensed computers and about 20 in error state.

Great day... Our "solution" is by deactivate all panda services.

Hi there from France. Sorry for my english !

Same problem here, with about 30 Office Cloud Protection licences on several remote sites.
Problem is so important that even antivirus seems unable to load properly, so I'm afraid changes done on the web admin interface won't work.
Anyway web interface is really slow then shows an error, so I can't even try to disable antivirus from here.

I was trying Free Panda on my personal computer, I unmounted a lot of my computer's parts (those random dll errors looked like a memory failure) before I suspected then antivirus.

Now ... should I go on my customers site to fix that ? Will you refund me fuel an time I'm about to lose ?

Please give me a quick solution.

Yep same issue here. However on a bigger scale. Over 3000 PC's across all parts of the UK.

Has anyone managed to recover from the reboot + black screen yet?
