Chrome crashes when trying to download pdfs. Hotfix doesn't work

Hi I've tried downloading pdfs since installing Panda Dome a couple of weeks ago. Searching the site, I found a hotfix link. Tried that repeatedly but it doesn't work. Getting very frustrated as I cannot access material that I have purchased!

Have you tried with this hotfix ?

If the problem persist, uninstall the AV and verify if the problem is related with the antivirus or not.
